The hotel is larger than you think after first entering the relatively modest façade on Via del Babuino. The u-shaped building holds 89 rooms and 33 suites and most have views towards the “secret garden” or Rome’s picturesque streets. All rooms are classically decorated yet modern, and all rooms have individual touches. Whether you choose the smallest entry level room (30 sqm) or one of the suites you can enjoy large bathrooms in exclusive Carrara-marble with elements of Bisazza-mosaic and amenities from Lorenzo Villoresi.
For a couple on a weekend trip we recommend a room in the Deluxe category. Ask for a room with a view towards the garden, then you get 40 sqm of luxury with beautiful views and no disturbing noise from the street.
Some of the suites have terraces and we especially recommend the romantic Popolo suite where you can enjoy your morning coffee with exquisite views over the Piazza. Hotel de Russie also boast one of Europe’s most spectacular (and most expensive) suites. At 180 sqm with a private spa and a 280 sqm roof top terrace, it is certainly a unique room, but also one that demands the deepest of pockets when it comes time to settling your bill.

Breakfast at Hotel de Russie is provided at the standard you expect from a classical luxury hotel and maybe just a little bit more. Freshly squeezed juices, a very nice selection of cheeses, cold cuts, freshly baked pastries, lots of fresh fruit and small details like fresh honey and home made Granola. Eggs and coffee are a-la-carte and they have some delicious pancakes.
Breakfast is served in the dining hall that turns into restaurant Le Jardin de Russie at night. Here star chef Fulvio Pierangelini whips up creative Italian cuisine. Even though the food is great it is the surroundings that really steals your attention. During summer, when you can enjoy your meal outside in the magnificent green garden, the atmosphere is truly magical.
The restaurant shares the garden with Stravinskij Bar that serves fabulous cocktails with bar snacks to match, so not surprisingly, it is not only hotels guest that find their way here. A popular destination for both other tourists and wealthy locals, this is a hotspot buzzing on warm summer nights.
Hotel de Russie has an unbeatable wellness room with a salt water pool framed in beautiful blue mosaic tiles. Guests are free to use the pool along with the sauna and steam room. The hotel Spa offers a wide selection of treatments and use products from Swiss Perfection, Carita Paris and Cinq Mondes and there is a hairdresser available. The hotel gym is not particularly large but has all the equipment you need for a proper work out.
